San Miguel School Artists Participate in DC Art All Night Event
San Miguel School student artwork was on display on Sept. 24 and 25 as part of the District’s DC Art All Night event.
San Miguel School art and religion teacher Diana Aguilar spearheaded the effort and led San Miguel’s participation in the city-wide art event. San Miguel School’s exhibits showcased artwork from students — some even drawing offers from attendees to purchase the artwork.
DC Art All Night is Washington, D.C.’s free overnight arts festival, taking place this year on Sept. 24 and 25. The festival took place in 16 neighborhoods across the city, showcasing visual and performing arts, including painting, photography, sculpture, crafts, fashion, music, dance, theater, film, and poetry, to indoor and outdoor public and private spaces, including local businesses and restaurants.
San Miguel School participated in DC Art All Night in collaboration with Tomoka Coffee House, a shop immediately next door to San Miguel’s Georgia Avenue location in Upper Northwest D.C.
The festival was presented by Mayor Muriel Bowser and in partnership with participating Main Streets and Business Improvement Districts, with support from the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities and the DC Department of Small and Local Business Development.
